Site Description: The Cleveland Skating Club tennis program is one of legendary tradition. The Skating Club has played host to multiple internationally recognized events. In turn, with these events we have seen some world famous tennis players come through the skating club. In the late 60’s and early 70’s the Davis Cup called the Skating Club their headquarters. With the likes of Pancho Gonzalez, Arthur Ashe, and even John McEnroe the Skating Club is to this day the premier private club in Cleveland's communities. Having four indoor hard courts and 11 out door clay courts have allowed for the Skating Club family to be at the forefront of tennis programs in the Greater Cleveland Area. Being recognized as the best family club round the area we have a well established junior program for the children, also a very welcoming and strong adult program.
Currently at the Skating Club we await the return of the Gordon Cup at the end of July, 2007. This International event once again reiterates the strength and tradition of our club. The Gordon cup, an event we share with our Canadian counterpart, the Granite Club, is a senior event where Team USA plays against Team Canada.
Other Notes: The Cleveland Skating Club welcomes our members' guests and prospective members to enjoy the facilities. Guests must be accompanied by a member and must sign in as a guest at the facilities used.
